No One to Change but Self

The world is a mirror, forever reflecting back to you the contents of your own consciousness.

There is no one to change but self. When you change your concept of yourself, the world around you must change to reflect that inner shift.

The people in your life are not independent beings acting upon you. They are projections of your own assumptions about them and about yourself.

If you want someone to behave differently toward you, you must first change your inner attitude toward them. See them as you wish them to be, and persist in that seeing.

This is not a technique for manipulating others. It is the recognition that you are the operant power in your own world, and that love — seeing others in their highest light — is the most powerful creative force.

Change your concept of self, and you change your world. This is the whole of the teaching.
