Lecture Summary

Persistence is the Key to Manifestation

In this lecture, Neville Goddard emphasizes that the key to successful manifestation is unwavering faithfulness to your inner assumption. The outer world will always present evidence that contradicts your desire — this is the test. Those who remain loyal to their imaginal act, regardless of appearances, will see their assumption harden into fact. Neville illustrates this through biblical stories and personal experiences, showing that persistence in the feeling of the wish fulfilled is the only requirement.

Remain Faithful to Your Idea

The test of your assumption is not whether it feels comfortable, but whether you remain faithful to it when the outer world contradicts it.

Every great achievement in human history began as an assumption held faithfully in the face of apparent impossibility.

The outer world is always lagging behind your inner state. Do not be discouraged by appearances. They are the echo of a former assumption, not the verdict on your current one.

Remain faithful to your idea. Feed it with feeling. Nourish it with imagination. And let the outer world catch up in its own time.

The bridge of incidents — the seemingly coincidental events that lead to your desire — will appear naturally when you hold your assumption with conviction and without anxiety.

This is the law: assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, remain faithful to that assumption, and the world will conform to your inner conviction.
